Armstrong Western LLC (Western Auction Co.) has been providing online equipment auction services for farm & ranch equipment, construction equipment, trucking, & real estate in Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, & Colorado since 2009. Before that, we served the community as an open marketplace utilizing the live auction method, starting all the way back in 1980's.
Internet Auctions
With the importance of time management in today's farming & ranching industry, Armstrong Western LLC keeps pace with the growing need for convenience by offering Internet Auctions.
Auctions have always been an all-weather sport. With Internet Auctions, there's no more standing in the cold or taking a whole day out of the field just to buy that one item you've had your eye on. Now you can bid from the comfort of your home or office on your PC, or even from your tractor on your smartphone 24 hours a day.
Our biggest success stories happened using the Online Auction method. Our clients who have chosen Internet Auctions as a solution have ranged in size from a complete dairy liquidation including real estate, all the way down to tools & shop equipment.
In-Place Online Auctions (Your Equipment Stays Put)
When selling your equipment it's not always logical to bring it into our facility. With an in-place online auction, your equipment stays at your location and bidders from across the US, Canada and Mexico bid online. There's no live, in-person auction. Many factors must be considered before hauling your equipment to the auction. Maybe it'll cost too much to ship. Maybe there are just too many pieces to haul. That's okay. Give us a call. We'll help you determine whether your items should be sold in place, or if it would be better suited to add your items to an upcoming consignment auction.
Where we conduct auctions
Every Armstrong Western auction is an online auction. There's no live, in-person bidding, and bidders from across the US, Canada and Mexico bid online. Most of our sales are open consignment auctions at our 12.5-acre yard in Caldwell, Idaho. We also conduct in-place online auctions, where the equipment stays at your location until it sells. We've conducted them in Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. Every auction has no buyer's premium.
- Southwest Idaho and the Treasure Valley: consign at our Caldwell yard, or sell online with the equipment staying at your place in Canyon, Ada, Owyhee, Payette, Gem or Washington county.
- Eastern Oregon: how eastern Oregon sellers sell equipment online, from in-place ranch sales to hauling to Caldwell.
- Baker Oregon Auction: our regional site for Baker City and Baker County, Oregon sellers.

Marketing & Promotion
You only get one shot at your auction. Make sure not to squander that opportunity when it comes to notifying potential bidders about your event. Armstrong Western LLC takes full advantage of multiple avenues of advertising your equipment and real estate.
Direct E-mail Marketing – Perhaps our most powerful tool. E-mail allows us to stay in direct contact with the thousands of bidders who have opted-in to this service.
Newspaper & Print – Although we conduct more online than live auctions, we understand that newspaper advertising is still a large part of how our customers find out about upcoming auctions.
Virtual Drive Through – Utilizing high-definition video and audio technology, we created what we call "The Virtual Drive Through". These videos enable bidders to get a good overall idea of how the equipment performs before they make the trek to preview in-person. View some examples of our Virtual Drive Through.
Social Media – Today's "word of mouth" advertising is done through social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Loading & Unloading
Whether you're dropping off your consignments or picking up your purchases, we've got a machine for the job. From our forklifts to our wheel-loaders with specially designed "cherry-picker" booms, we're equipped to assist when handling large and heavy items. We also have a bi-level loading dock so you can drive equipment straight on and off your trailer.
